Medical emergency or accident

You are on the campus of Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) and need medical assistance for yourself or another person?

First inform the RUB control room: +49 234 32 23333 (from a cell phone) or 23333 (RUB internal).

Depending on the type of emergency, the RUB control room will inform the fire department or the police. The RUB control room is manned around the clock!

Please also contact the control room if an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is required.

In a RUB building outside the RUB campus, please dial the emergency telephone number of the fire and rescue service 112 or the police 110. If possible, also inform the RUB control room about the emergency (0234 32 23333).

Provide first aid and remain available by telephone.

Fire/technical emergency

Have you discovered a fire or want to report a technical emergency?

First inform the RUB control room: 0234 32 23333 (from a cell phone) or 23333 (RUB internal). The control room will coordinate all further steps with you and, if necessary, connect you with the fire department.

Get yourself and other people to safety. If possible: Try to extinguish the fire.
